Student Accommodation Common Areas
Brickworks is a Student Accommodation in Dublin. The site lies in a historial area where the community used to work in a variety factories such as distilleries and textile production.
Upcircle took inspiration on those spaces that had specific features such as cement floor, metallic features and structures, and big open spaces. The area is also well known for whiskey distilleries, that is an important historic fact about the development and the city, as an identity character.
Another inspiration for this project was the name - Brickworks - and the architecture of the building, which defined the main colour and texture of the project - terracotta.
Upcircle worked on the interior design of the communal areas as well as the branding, visual identity and social media package.
It’s been a pleasure working with Upcircle on both the interior design and branding of Brickworks. The Brickworks internal building is visually unique and contemporary, but very liveable, and because of this we always say that once we can just get potential residents to do a viewing, that they will always book! The overall design aesthetic perfectly combines modern and traditional in a manner that will not date easily.
Upcircle also worked on our branding and building exterior signage. The team is fantastic to work with – flexible, accommodating, professional and able to both understand and pull our random ideas into cohesive designs, far better than we could ever have imagined! I would not hesitate to recommend them.
